From the Lenape and William Penn  to the most recent additions to town,  you will find out about how Yardley developed and the people who did it.

Ever defined and influenced by the  Delaware River, Lake Afton, and the Delaware Canal, Yardley grew from a ferry landing to a small, business-focused village.  Spurred by new kinds of transportation, it became a thriving town. Then in the 20th and 21st centuries, more development ensued  to accommodate incoming  residents and commercial enterprises, as well as the needs of the area that surrounding it.

Yardley’s history is dynamic and intriguing.  Its images, past and present. are compelling.
