Be your own house detective

Thursday, May 22 • 7:30 p.m.
Old Library by Lake Afton
46 West Afton Avenue, Yardley

A searcher and a source will come together to explain what is involved in uncovering your home’s past.

Nicole Douglas from the office of the Bucks County Recorder of Deeds will explore how to find owners’ names and dates as well as property descriptions in the County’s deed books. To bring real life experience into play, Lee Kirts, who has been researching the history of his property on East Afton Avenue, will tell what he has learned about using the County’s resources and how one piece of information leads to another – one tantalizing bit after another. In the case of his Afton Avenue house, its history turns out to be tied to that of the Yardley bridge over the Delaware River and the Yardley Inn.

Come be inspired to delve into your home’s past.
