Holiday Open House III
Yardley's Most Festive Place
Saturday, December 21 • 1-4 p.m.
Old Library by Lake Afton
46 West Afton Avenue, Yardley
The Old Library by Lake Afton is the perfect place to visit as Christmas nears. Decked out in fir and holly, it exudes the spirit of the season.
The highlight will be the ever-larger model train layout with tooting engines, clattering cabooses, and a trolley. With familiar buildings, landmarks, and billboards, the railroad scene evokes Yardley’s past and present.
Standing tall will be a fir tree decorated with old German glass ornaments and real candles. Homemade cutout sugar cookies and warm cider will be offered to all. New “Yardley” gifts – “Yardley’s Dream” scented candles, “The Key to Yardley” ornaments, and antique silver-finish metal Old Library ornaments – are outstanding last minutes gifts. Also available will be flour sack and embroidered tea towels, book diaries, cards, notes, books and prints.
