Yardley's Most Festive Place

Saturday, December 20 • 1-4 p.m.
Old Library by Lake Afton
46 West Afton Avenue, Yardley

The Old Library by Lake Afton is the perfect place to visit as Christmas nears.  Decked out in evergreens and holly, it exudes the spirit of the season.  AND you’ll be able to get a taste of authentic Christmas pudding!

The highlight will be the ever-larger model train layout with tooting engines, clattering cabooses, and a trolley. With familiar buildings, landmarks, and billboards, the railroad scene evokes Yardley’s past and present.

Standing tall will be a spruce tree decorated as it would have been in Victorian times with chromolithography paper ornaments, cranberry and popcorn chains, real candles, and toys.

Homemade cutout sugar cookies  and warm cider will be offered to all.

Our new “Yardley” gifts – “Destination Yardley” flour sack tea towels, “Old Library Books” velvet ornaments from England, and Images America – Yardley books in honor of the late author Vince Profy – will be available to purchase as gifts or just for you. Also available will be “Yardley’s Dream” flour sack tea towels, embroidered wafflle wearve towels, book diaries, newly revised Downtown Yardley Walking Tour booklets, prints, and notecards.

Come Fa, La, La!
