Be Merry at the Old Library

Saturday, December 6 • 1-5 p.m.
Old Library by Lake Afton
46 West Afton Avenue, Yardley

It’s a tradition!  Decked out in evergreens and holly, the Old Library by Lake Afton is always at its best during the holidays.

The highlight is the ever-larger model train layout with tooting engines, clattering cabooses, and a trolley. With familiar buildings, landmarks, and billboards, the railroad scene evokes Yardley’s past and present.

Standing tall will be a spruce tree decorated as it would have been in Victorian times  with chromolithography paper ornaments, cranberry and popcorn chains, real candles, and toys.

Homemade cutout sugar cookies and warm apple cider will be offered to all.

Our new “Yardley” gifts – “Destination Yardley” flour sack tea towels, “Old Library Books” velvet ornaments from England, and Images of America – Yardley books in honor of the late author Vince Profy – will be available to purchase as gifts or for you. Also available will be “Yardley’ Dream” flour sack tea towels, embroidered waffle weave towels, book diaries, newly revised Downtown Yardley Walking Tour booklets, prints, and notecards.

Come Fa, La, La!
