46 West Afton Avenue, Yardley
Raisin bars, Philadelphia butter cakes, doughnuts, gingerbread people…..
John Cramer and his family opened a bakery on East Afton Avenue in 1946. Their “fresh baked every day” pastries, cakes, and pies built a legion of customers from near and far. Today Cramer’s Bakery is a town icon, still family-owned and operated.
Find out about the first bakery and how it grew, the keys to its success, and the Cramer family. And indulge in some of the bakery’s most time-honored and craved treats.
After the presentation, the Yardley Historical Association Annual Meeting will be held during which a short report of the year’s accomplishments will be given and Board members and officers elected.
Come enjoy the company of your neighbors, take part in the workings of our organization, and learn about Yardley’s sweet history. The public is most welcome to attend this free event.
