For the 250th anniversary of our nation’s birth and National Women’s History Month, we welcome back storyteller and impersonator Carol Simon Levin. The fascinating woman that she will portray is Catharine “Caty” Greene, the “indomitable” wife of General Nathanael Greene, one of George Washington’s most valued officers and the leader of the left flank of the Continental Army in the Battle of Trenton.
Known as a witty raconteur, Caty Greene lifted the spirits of officers and troops as the war ranged from New Jersey to South Carolina. She famously danced for three hours straight with George Washington. Her pluck carried her through victories and tragedies, not only during the war, but throughout her life.
Carol Simon Levin is a master at “Telling Her Stories” You won’t want to miss this entrancing and historically accurate performance.
